I understand what it is like to be a student that has a disability and what support they need to achieve something great. When working with young children with disabilities it’s imperative to build trust because it allows them to be themselves.

I am experienced in speaking to professionals that work with disabled individuals and giving  them valuable advice so they can help their students or clients better. I can inspire teachers and staff, giving them a so new perspective and understand of students’ lives.

AAC Users Club  

Monthly club for AAC users This is a monthly club for all levels of AAC users to socialise with  each other and have some fun by doing activities.

These activities will  increase their understanding of how important their communication device is to their life. For AAC users, meeting someone similar to yourself and having a chat (about anything!) will give you the confidence to speak to more and more people.

I love nothing more than meeting and talking to new people. I have worked as a mentor for many students with disabilities in many special needs schools around London. As a disabled  person myself, I can relate to students and a chat with me can have an immediate impact on them by having a conversation which will  motivate and inspire them to never give up on their dreams. At the end of the conversation it’s pretty much guaranteed that I’ll  leave the person smiling and feeling better about themselves. 

Disability Inclusion.

Unconscious bias and the exclusion of disabled people stems from fear. It’s a perfectly natural human instinct to shy away from things or people that you are unfamiliar with. Spending time with me will open your employees’ minds and change their perceptions of disability forever.

The antidote to fear is familiarity, so let’s get to know each other in this relaxed and informal session.

Over seventeen years I’ve been through all stages of communication methods; from communication books to high tech devices.

I go to Universities and speak to Speech and Language Therapist students. I provide valuable advice that will benefit the students when they move into the workplace. I speak at City University every year and inspire students to work harder towards their graduation but also prepare them for once they graduate.
